"I wasted years being codependent and now I've lost who I was before the relationship."
How it sounds in your head: I molded myself into what he needed—changed my opinions, my style, my dreams, my friends. Now he's gone and I don't remember what I liked before I became his support system. I'm 24 and I have to GOOGLE who I am. Those shape-shifting years stole my backbone.
"Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones: 'Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live.'"

You literally can't remember what music you liked or what you wanted before you became his emotional manager. The years feel like a blackout and you're starting from scratch on selfhood.
A valley of bones—completely dead, dried out, separated, hopeless. God spoke ONE WORD and they came together, flesh appeared, breath entered, and they became a VAST ARMY. From dust to destiny in one prophetic moment.
I REFUSE the lie that codependent years erased who I am. IT IS WRITTEN that God speaks to dry bones and commands LIFE. What looks dead in me is about to RISE. I am not starting over; I am being RESURRECTED. Every year I lost myself is about to become a year of DOUBLE IDENTITY—I'm about to know myself MORE than if I'd never lost myself. IT IS WRITTEN I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. My identity was never in him; it's in CHRIST. And THAT never changed.
