"I was a mistake; my parents didn't plan me or want me."
How it sounds in your head: Mom's face when she told me I was 'unexpected.' Dad's drinking started around the time I was born. Seventy years later, I still wonder if everything would've been better without me.
"Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them."
-- Psalm 139:16Source: Enemy twisting family pain into identity rejection, magnified by decades of replaying the narrative.
He's carried this wound for seven decades, and every family dysfunction seems to trace back to his arrival. The evidence feels overwhelming after a lifetime of feeling like the problem.
Conceived through human scheming, not God's plan, cast out as unwanted by both parents. God HEARD him, appeared to him, promised to make him a GREAT NATION, and opened Hagar's eyes to water that saved his life—instant provision for the 'unwanted' son.
I REFUSE the lie that I was a mistake or accident. IT IS WRITTEN that God wrote ALL my days before one of them came to be. My parents may not have planned me, but the Father of the universe DID. IT IS WRITTEN in Jeremiah 1:5 that He knew me before He formed me in the womb. I am NOT an accident—I am a destiny written in Heaven's book. I carry the BARAK blessing of Abraham, and like Isaac who was born when it seemed impossible, my very existence is a MIRACLE, not a mistake. I am wanted, planned, and intentionally created by the God who makes no errors.
The Father is running toward you saying, 'I wrote your name in My book before the foundation of the world. Every day you've lived—every single one—I authored with PURPOSE.' He's not surprised by your birth; He ORCHESTRATED it.
