"I threw away my athletic prime and will never get that strength back"
How it sounds in your head: I was in the best shape of my life and didn't capitalize on it. Now my metabolism is slowing, recovery takes longer, and those peak years are gone. I let my physical prime slip through my fingers.
"Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's."
-- Psalm 103:5World system that worships youth and peak performance, teaching that physical prime is narrow and irretrievable
He feels the difference in his body from even two years ago. Recovery from workouts takes longer. He sees athletes his age at their peak and knows he missed his window.
Caleb at 85 years old declared 'I am as strong this day as on the day Moses sent me; my strength NOW is as my strength was THEN, for war and for going out and coming in.' Forty-five years later, SAME STRENGTH. Then he conquered giants.
I REFUSE the lie that my physical prime is gone or that my body's best years are behind me. IT IS WRITTEN: my youth is RENEWED like the eagle's—not in slow recovery, but in RENEWAL that makes me stronger. Moses at 120 had undimmed eyes and unabated strength. Caleb at 85 had the SAME strength as 40. IT IS WRITTEN: by His stripes I AM HEALED—present tense, continuous reality. The BARAK blessing includes being blessed in your BODY, in your coming and going. My strength isn't determined by age or missed years. God renews, restores, and makes strong right NOW.
The Father doesn't see you past your prime—He sees Caleb at 85 ready to take mountains. Your best athletic years aren't behind you when you serve a God who RENEWS youth and maintains strength supernaturally.
