"I started saving too late and now it's impossible to catch up."
How it sounds in your head: If only I'd started in my twenties. If only I'd been smarter, more disciplined. My friends who saved early are comfortable and I'm scrambling. The compound interest charts mock me—too late, too late, too late.
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust."
-- Joel 2:25Source: Financial industry's time-based formulas that make God subject to compound interest math instead of supernatural multiplication.
Every financial calculator and advisor shows the same graphs—start early or lose. The math is exponential and unforgiving, making decades lost feel unredeemable.
Some workers labored all day in the heat; others showed up at 5pm for one hour of work. The latecomers received THE EXACT SAME FULL DAY'S WAGE—same payment, zero penalty for starting late. Jesus told this story specifically about His Father's economics.
I REFUSE the lie that I started too late. IT IS WRITTEN that God RESTORES the years the locust has eaten—He's not limited by compound interest charts. My God gives the same reward to those who start late as those who started early! IT IS WRITTEN in Isaiah 65:24 that before I call, He answers. The BARAK blessing isn't time-dependent—Abraham's covenant promises aren't bound by when I started saving. God specializes in catching me up SUDDENLY.
Your Father isn't checking when you started—He's looking at the covenant He made through Jesus' blood. The workers who showed up late got the SAME pay, because His generosity doesn't operate on human timelines or financial formulas.
