"I should have tithed more faithfully and now I'm reaping the consequences."
How it sounds in your head: Malachi 3 says to bring the whole tithe and I didn't—I was inconsistent, I held back when money was tight. Now God has shut the windows of heaven. This financial drought is exactly what the Bible warned about.
"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work."
-- 2 Corinthians 9:8Old Covenant law applied to New Covenant believers, making blessing transactional.
Malachi 3:10 promises open windows for tithers and she wasn't faithful. The math is simple: she robbed God, now He's withholding. Every sermon on tithing quoted that passage.
She had no tithe to give—literally baking her last meal to die. Elijah asked for it first (not a tithe, the WHOLE THING). She gave it and her flour and oil never ran out through the entire famine—supernatural provision with zero percent tithe obedience.
I REFUSE the lie that my provision depends on perfect tithing performance. IT IS WRITTEN that God makes ALL GRACE abound toward me so I ALWAYS have ALL sufficiency in ALL things. I am not under Malachi 3 law; I am under 2 Corinthians 9 grace. IT IS WRITTEN that Christ redeemed me from the curse of the law—and Deuteronomy 28's financial curses are cancelled by Jesus' blood. The widow of Zarephath gave her last meal and saw supernatural supply with no tithe. God's windows are open over me because of covenant, not compliance. I receive abundance NOW.
Your Father isn't checking your giving records to decide if you've earned His provision. He's the God who multiplied a boy's lunch to feed thousands and had 12 baskets left over—that boy didn't tithe first; Jesus just multiplied what was offered. You're not under a performance-based system; you're a daughter of the King whose resources are limitless.
