"I should have taken better care of my body when I was younger; now I'm paying for it."
How it sounds in your head: All those late nights, fast food, skipped workouts in my twenties. If I'd been more disciplined then, I wouldn't be dealing with this now. I'm reaping what I sowed.
"Through the LORD's mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness."
-- Lamentations 3:22-23Religion: the karma lie that past mistakes create present curses you must work off.
He sees a direct line from past choices to present conditions—weight gain, energy loss, chronic issues. The 'reap what you sow' teaching makes his current struggle feel like deserved punishment for past negligence.
This son blew his entire inheritance on prostitutes and wild living, ending up in a pig pen. When he came home, the Father didn't make him earn it back—he RAN to him, threw a robe on him, put a ring on his finger, and threw a PARTY. From pig pen to party in 15 minutes.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm paying for past mistakes. IT IS WRITTEN that His compassions are NEW EVERY MORNING. I am not under karma—I am under GRACE. Jesus took ALL my consequences on the cross. The prodigal came home to a PARTY, not punishment. My past negligence doesn't determine my present health—Christ's FINISHED WORK does. IT IS WRITTEN: there is NO CONDEMNATION for those in Christ Jesus. God isn't making me pay; He's making me WHOLE. I receive supernatural restoration NOW by pure grace, regardless of my past.
The Father isn't tallying your past mistakes—He's running toward you with FULL RESTORATION, the same restoration He gave the son who wasted everything. He doesn't see what you did wrong; He sees what JESUS did RIGHT. Your healing is already prepared.
