"I should have known better than to trust that investment advisor."
How it sounds in your head: I spent 40 years being the expert, the man with answers, and I got duped like a fool. Everyone trusted my judgment in business, and I failed at the finish line. My wife trusted me to protect our future, and I let her down.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."
-- Proverbs 3:5-6Religion spirit bringing shame and self-condemnation, making provision about his wisdom instead of God's covenant faithfulness.
The advisor's promises didn't pan out and the losses are documented. His identity was built on being the competent provider and decision-maker, so this feels like fundamental failure of who he is.
He made the WORST financial decision possible—demanding inheritance early and blowing it ALL on prostitutes. Came home broke and smelling like pigs. The Father didn't lecture him on financial literacy—He threw a party and restored everything in 15 minutes.
I REFUSE the lie that my provision depends on perfect investment decisions. IT IS WRITTEN to trust in the Lord and lean NOT on my own understanding. The Abrahamic blessing protected liars, deceivers, and fools because it's based on COVENANT, not competence. I am righteous by GIFT, not by correct financial planning. IT IS WRITTEN that He will command blessing on my storehouses—not because I chose wisely, but because I'm in Christ. My Father runs toward financial mistakes with restoration, not lectures.
The Father isn't reviewing your investment prospectus with disappointment—He's already orchestrating the supernatural provision that bypasses what the advisor lost. While you're replaying the decision, He's preparing the abundance that makes the loss irrelevant.
