"I should have fought harder for my fair share of the family estate."
How it sounds in your head: When my parents died, I let stronger siblings dominate the division. I didn't want to fight, didn't want to look greedy, wanted to keep peace. Now I see they got more and I got less. I should have hired a lawyer, stood up for myself, demanded equal distribution. My passivity cost me what was rightfully mine.
"Is not the whole land before you? Please separate from me. If you take the left, then I will go to the right; or, if you go to the right, then I will go to the left."
-- Genesis 13:9World: Defines justice through litigation and fighting rather than trusting God's ability to provide separate from human distribution battles.
She literally DID receive less than siblings in the estate division. The facts are documentable - others got the house, the investments, the valuable items. Her peacemaking looked like weakness and cost her tangible assets she'll never recover at 85. The regret is concrete and financial.
Abraham and Lot's herdsmen were fighting over land. Abraham, the ELDER with the RIGHT to choose first, gave Lot first choice to keep peace. Lot took the best land - well-watered plains like the garden of Eden. Abraham took the leftovers. Immediately after, God told Abraham, 'ALL the land you see I give to you and your descendants FOREVER' - making Abraham's 'leftovers' infinitely greater than Lot's 'best choice.'
I REFUSE the lie that my peacemaking cost me my inheritance. IT IS WRITTEN that Abraham let Lot choose the BEST land first, and God gave Abraham EVERYTHING - 'all the land you see, forever.' My 'leftovers' are blessed by the BARAK covenant more than others' fought-for portions. IT IS WRITTEN that peacemakers are blessed, and God is not mocked - He sees what I didn't fight for and MULTIPLIES it beyond what litigation could ever win. I am Abraham's seed - the blessing that made him father of nations came AFTER he chose peace over portion. At 85, God is giving me 'all the land I see' that goes infinitely beyond the estate I didn't fight for.
The Father whispers: 'Abraham gave Lot first choice and I gave Abraham everything. Your peacemaking didn't cost you - it positioned you for MY multiplication, which infinitely exceeds what your siblings took.' He's already assigned you provision that makes the estate division irrelevant - the BARAK multiplies what looks like 'leftovers' into nations.
