"I should have acted sooner—I wasted God's timing by waiting."
How it sounds in your head: Maybe I missed it by waiting too long. I should have acted when I was younger and stronger. I wasted the opportunities God gave me by being too passive. Now it's too late and it's my own fault for not seizing the moment.
"He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end."
-- Ecclesiastes 3:11Enemy + Trauma—the lie that God's timing requires human recognition and perfect action, and that missing the 'right moment' forfeits the promise.
Looking back at younger years feels like wasted opportunity. Regret whispers that if you'd acted then, you'd have the promise now. Physical decline makes past inaction feel like fatal error.
Moses spent 40 YEARS in the wilderness after his failed attempt to deliver Israel at age 40. God brought him back at age 80—the 'wasted' years weren't waste; they were preparation. God's timing was perfect, not ruined by Moses' earlier failure or long wait.
I REFUSE the lie that I wasted God's timing. IT IS WRITTEN that He makes everything beautiful in its time—HIS time, not mine. Moses spent 40 years in the wilderness and was used mightily at 80. My past years were not waste—they were preparation and setup. God has not been waiting on me to get it right; He's been working all things together for good. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed with the BARAK of Abraham, and every season of my life is covered by covenant blessing. I have not missed God's timing. I am IN it.
The Father hasn't been frustrated by your 'inaction'—He's been orchestrating your story. Like Moses' 40 years in the wilderness prepared him for 40 years of leading millions, your past prepared you for now. He wastes nothing. Every year was part of the setup for this moment.
