"I should expect my knees and back to hurt. I'm not twenty anymore."
How it sounds in your head: Every guy at work complains about their back. I grunt getting off the couch now. Doctor says it's normal wear and tear for my age. I just need to accept this is life now.
"But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."
-- Isaiah 40:31World system normalizing decay as inevitable, robbing identity as carrier of resurrection power in mortal body.
Every commercial, doctor visit, and peer conversation reinforces aging as automatic decline. His body gives feedback that seems to confirm it's just 'how it is.'
At 85 years old, after 45 years of wandering and warfare, Caleb declared, 'I am as strong this day as on the day Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength.' He then asked for the mountain with giants to conquer—and took it.
I REFUSE the lie that my age equals automatic pain. IT IS WRITTEN: those who wait on the Lord RENEW their strength—restore to original. I carry the Spirit that raised Christ from death; that same power gives LIFE to my mortal body right now. Caleb was stronger at 85 than at 40. Moses' eyes were undimmed at 120. IT IS WRITTEN: by His stripes I was healed. The BARAK blessing means I'm blessed going out and coming in, in my body, at every age. Resurrection power doesn't retire when I hit a birthday.
The Father isn't waiting for you to accept decline—He's eagerly pouring the same power that resurrected Jesus into your joints RIGHT NOW. He sees you running up mountains with Caleb, not limping to the couch.
