"I ruined my kids' future because I gambled away their college fund on this business."
How it sounds in your head: They're going to pay for my stupid risk. I stole their opportunities. I'm supposed to provide for them, and instead I buried their future in a failed dream. What kind of father does that?
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
-- Philippians 4:6-7World system equating a father's love with a bank account size, plus enemy accusation targeting the provider identity.
The 529 is depleted or gone. Other dads have theirs fully funded. Your kids will apply for loans while their friends won't. The math is clear: your risk, their cost.
A widow down to her LAST meal—one handful of flour, a little oil—told Elijah she was preparing it for her son so they could 'eat it, and die.' Elijah told her to make him a cake FIRST. She obeyed, and the flour and oil didn't run out for YEARS—supernatural provision in the middle of famine.
I REFUSE the lie that my business failure ruined my children's future. IT IS WRITTEN that I am to be anxious for NOTHING, and that includes their college fund. My God shall supply ALL their needs according to HIS riches in glory. IT IS WRITTEN that He has not seen the righteous forsaken nor their descendants begging bread. My kids are Abraham's seed through me—the BARAK blessing is THEIRS by covenant, not by my account balance. God fed a widow and her son for YEARS on a handful of flour. He can fund my kids' futures without my help. I am the head and not the tail. My children are blessed because HE is their source, not me.
Your Father doesn't measure your fatherhood by your portfolio. He sees a man who took a risk to provide better, and He's not done writing that story. Your kids' provision is His job, and He's better at it than any mutual fund.
