"I rejected God years ago, and now it's too late to come back."
How it sounds in your head: In my late teens or early twenties, I walked away from faith—maybe mocked it, maybe lived the opposite. Now I feel the pull back, but surely God won't take me after I rejected Him so deliberately. The door must be closed.
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you."
-- Joel 2:25Source: Enemy using your past rebellion to convince you the Father's arms are no longer open.
The rejection was intentional, maybe even public, and you've heard teachings about Hebrews 6 and 'falling away.' The enemy replays your past mockery as evidence God's done with you.
Nebuchadnezzar was the most powerful pagan king on earth who destroyed God's temple, enslaved His people, set up a golden image demanding worship, and threw God's servants into a furnace. God drove him insane, and he ate grass like an animal for seven years—yet when he lifted his eyes to heaven, God INSTANTLY restored his sanity, his kingdom, and his honor.
I REFUSE the lie that my past rejection closed the door permanently. IT IS WRITTEN: 'I will RESTORE to you the years that the locust has eaten'—God doesn't just forgive; He RESTORES what was lost. The prodigal left wishing his father dead, wasted everything on prostitutes, and came back covered in pig filth—the Father RAN to him and threw a party in 15 minutes. Nebuchadnezzar destroyed God's temple and enslaved His people, yet when he finally looked to heaven, God restored him INSTANTLY. IT IS WRITTEN: 'The one who comes to Me I will NEVER cast out.' The fact I'm feeling the pull back IS the Father already running toward me. I am welcomed, restored, and blessed by the BARAK covenant that never depended on my faithfulness.
The Father has been waiting for this exact moment, watching the road for your return—He's not angry about the years you were gone; He's celebrating that you're turning around. While you think the door is closed, He's flinging it open and already preparing the party.
