"I pushed away everyone who tried to get close. Now I'm alone because of my own choices."
How it sounds in your head: I was too proud, too angry, too critical. I see it now—every friendship that failed was because of me. I drove them away. I rejected help when it was offered. This loneliness is what I earned.
"I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten."
-- Joel 2:25Religion turning conviction into condemnation, making past mistakes look like permanent disqualification from future blessing.
He can replay specific moments: the son-in-law he criticized, the neighbor he snapped at, the pastor he argued with. The evidence of his failures is documented. He sees cause and effect.
Peter denied Jesus THREE TIMES with cursing. Thought his apostolic calling was over. Jesus cooked him breakfast, asked 'Do you love Me?' three times—not to shame but to RESTORE. Instant reinstatement to 'Feed My sheep.'
I REFUSE the lie that my past relational failures determine my future. IT IS WRITTEN that God will RESTORE the years the locust has eaten—not rebuild, RESTORE. I am under GRACE, not karma. Christ took the CURSE; I receive the BLESSING. The BARAK that protected Jacob the deceiver protects me. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NO CONDEMNATION for those in Christ. I receive restored relationships, divine second chances, friendships that OVERRIDE my failures, NOW, in Jesus' name.
The Father runs toward you saying 'I'm not keeping score—I'm keeping covenant.' While you're rehearsing failures, He's preparing breakfast and calling you back to purpose. The past doesn't predict the future when GRACE intervenes.
