"I participated in New Age practices and corrupted my spirit permanently."
How it sounds in your head: I meditated with false gods, chanted to idols, sought enlightenment apart from Christ. Did I damage my spirit in ways that can't be undone?
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."
-- 2 Corinthians 5:17Worldly teaching that spiritual damage can be permanent and irreversible.
He feels spiritually disconnected and assumes it's permanent corruption rather than the normal struggle of an aging body and weary mind. Past practices loom large in memory.
The king who worshiped false gods, built idols, declared himself divine, and lived like an animal eating grass for seven years. Yet when he lifted his eyes to heaven, his understanding INSTANTLY returned, and he praised the Most High—complete restoration of mind and spirit.
I REFUSE the lie that my spirit is permanently corrupted. IT IS WRITTEN that if anyone is in Christ, he is a NEW CREATION—old things have passed away. Nebuchadnezzar worshiped idols, declared himself god, lost his mind completely, yet was INSTANTLY restored when he looked to heaven. IT IS WRITTEN that I am the righteousness of God IN Christ. My spirit isn't damaged—it's RECREATED. Every meditation to false gods is erased, every chant is silenced, every false enlightenment is replaced with TRUE light. I am not recovering—I am NEW. The BARAK blessing flows through a pure vessel because Christ made me pure.
The Father doesn't see you as corrupted—He sees you as REMADE. Your spirit isn't bearing scars from the past; it's shining with His glory because you're a new creation, not a renovated old one.
