"I need to leave something for my kids but there's nothing to leave."
How it sounds in your head: You think about your will and there's not much there. Your dad left you nothing, you'll leave them nothing. You want to be the generation that breaks through, leaves a legacy, but you're 65 and the math doesn't work. You feel like a failed patriarch.
"A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous."
-- Proverbs 13:22Enemy lie that your worth as a father/grandfather is measured by estate value rather than covenant position.
Your friends talk about trusts and inheritance planning and you have... a paid-off car maybe. You worked your whole life and there's no 'generational wealth' to pass down. You feel like you failed the biblical mandate to leave an inheritance.
Isaac sowed in the land during famine and reaped a hundredfold the same year—the Lord BLESSED him so much he became extremely wealthy, and the Philistines envied him. This was Abraham's son receiving generational blessing, not generational assets—the blessing WAS the inheritance and it produced wealth.
I REFUSE the lie that my worth as a father is measured by my bank account. IT IS WRITTEN that a good man leaves an inheritance, and the wealth of the sinner is STORED UP for the righteous—including my children. The greatest inheritance I'm leaving isn't my assets—it's my COVENANT POSITION as blessed of Abraham. Isaac didn't inherit portfolios—he inherited the BLESSING, and it made him wealthy during famine. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed coming in and going out, and that blessing passes to my children through bloodline, not bank accounts. The barak is generational—my kids receive what ABRAHAM activated, not what I accumulated. I am breaking cycles and establishing covenant legacy.
The Father sees you worried about leaving nothing and He's RUNNING toward you saying, 'You're not leaving them money—you're leaving them SONSHIP, which is worth infinitely more!' He doesn't measure your fatherhood by estate value—He measures it by covenant connection, which you're passing down RIGHT NOW.
