"I need to have my mental health together before I can serve God effectively"
How it sounds in your head: How can I help anyone when I can barely help myself? I should step back from ministry until I'm healed. God can't use broken people.
"And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
-- 2 Corinthians 12:9Religion taught that usefulness requires wholeness, making ministry about qualification instead of availability.
She sees polished leaders and assumes they have it all together. The idea of serving while struggling feels hypocritical and presumptuous.
God called Gideon a 'mighty warrior' while he was hiding in fear, calling himself the weakest. God didn't wait for Gideon to become confident—He used him afraid, calling out identity before Gideon felt it.
I REFUSE the lie that I must be healed to be used. IT IS WRITTEN in 2 Corinthians 12:9 that God's strength is made PERFECT in my weakness, not after it. Gideon was called mighty while hiding in fear. IT IS WRITTEN that God uses the foolish to confound the wise and the weak to shame the strong. I am already qualified by Christ's blood, not by my mental state. The BARAK blessing makes me effective by COVENANT, not condition. The Father is celebrating my availability, not waiting for my perfection.
The Father handed the prodigal the ring of authority while he still reeked of pig pen—position restored INSTANTLY, not after cleanup. He's handing you authority NOW, mental health struggle and all, because His power works best through weakness.
