"I need to get a job as a teenager to fix my family's financial problems."
How it sounds in your head: I'm old enough to work. Maybe if I get a job at the mall I can help with groceries or the electric bill. I feel guilty enjoying being a kid when they're struggling so hard.
"Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?"
-- Matthew 6:26Enemy: Assignment to steal childhood by making you responsible for adult burdens.
You can legally work and the need is REAL. It feels selfish to not help when you could earn money.
Family down to LAST MEAL before starvation, son couldn't work to fix it - God supernaturally multiplied oil and flour DAILY. Child wasn't expected to solve adult crisis; God WAS.
I REFUSE the lie that I must work to fix my family's finances. IT IS WRITTEN that my heavenly Father feeds the birds and I am of MORE VALUE. I am the CHILD, not the provider - that's the Father's role. IT IS WRITTEN that the BLESSING of Abraham is on my family by covenant, not by my labor. The Father doesn't expect me to carry adult burdens at 14. I release the weight of financial provision back to Him. If I work, it's for experience and learning - NOT to rescue my family. That's HIS job, not mine. I receive His supernatural provision while I remain a KID.
The Father isn't waiting for you to sacrifice your childhood to fix adult problems - He's JEALOUS over your teenage years and will provide for your family while you enjoy being 14. He feeds sparrows; He'll feed your family.
