"I need to confront them to get closure, but they'll never admit what they did."
How it sounds in your head: I've rehearsed the conversation a thousand times. What I'd say, what they'd probably say back. But they'll justify, minimize, or deny. I can't move on without acknowledgment they'll never give. I'm hostage to their refusal to see.
"Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert."
-- Isaiah 43:18-19Enemy makes healing contingent on others' repentance, creating permanent unresolved dependency on those who wounded.
Every therapy model emphasizes 'confrontation and closure.' Their likely defensiveness feels like proof you'll be forever stuck waiting for words they'll never speak, making freedom impossible.
Esau had every right to demand acknowledgment from Jacob who STOLE his blessing through deception. Instead, Esau RAN to him, embraced him, WEPT, said 'I have enough.' Instant reconciliation without the confrontation. God gave Esau prosperity BEFORE Jacob returned—healing happened independent of the confrontation.
I REFUSE the lie that I need their acknowledgment to be free. IT IS WRITTEN that God is doing a NEW thing NOW, not after they apologize. My healing doesn't wait on their repentance. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed coming in and going out, above not beneath. The BARAK covers me whether they ever admit anything or not. God is making roads in my wilderness RIGHT NOW. I am not hostage to their awareness. I am FREE in Christ, whole in Him, complete regardless of their confession.
Your Father is healing you RIGHT NOW, this moment, while they're still in denial. He's not waiting for their apology tour—He's running toward you with the robe and ring while they're still justifying. You're getting breakthrough before they get awareness.
