"I must have hidden sin blocking my breakthrough since nothing is happening"
How it sounds in your head: I've prayed for years and nothing changes. There must be some secret sin I'm not seeing, some unforgiveness, some block. If I could just find it and confess it, God would finally answer.
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
-- Romans 5:8Religion taught her God withholds blessing until she achieves perfect holiness, making breakthrough dependent on finding and fixing hidden sin.
She's heard 'if I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear' and 'search me, O God' used to put prayer answers behind a perfection barrier. Unanswered prayer must mean hidden sin is blocking it.
She had five previous husbands and was living with a man not her husband—active, ongoing sin. Jesus didn't say 'clean up your life first, then we'll talk.' He offered her LIVING WATER in the middle of her mess, and she became the first evangelist to her entire city WITHOUT fixing her situation first.
I REFUSE the lie that hidden sin blocks God's movement. IT IS WRITTEN that God loved me WHILE I was still sinning—He doesn't wait for perfection. The woman at the well was in active sin when Jesus offered living water. I am the righteousness of God in Christ, covered by the BARAK blessing that held when Abraham LIED, when Jacob DECEIVED, when Judah slept with his daughter-in-law. IT IS WRITTEN there is NO CONDEMNATION for those in Christ. My breakthrough doesn't depend on finding every sin—it depends on FINISHED WORK. The Father runs to me NOW, not after I'm clean.
The Father isn't playing hide-and-seek with some secret sin you need to uncover before He'll bless you—He's already blessed you IN Christ and is running toward you with the robe while you're still in the pigpen. You're already clean by His blood.
