"I lied to my parents repeatedly, so I've lost God's trust and blessing."
How it sounds in your head: I've been lying about homework, where I go, what I do online—basically everything. My parents are starting to catch on. If God sees everything, He definitely sees I'm a liar, and the Bible says liars go to hell. I probably lost any blessing He had for me.
"For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable."
-- Romans 11:29Source: Religion that teaches God's blessing is conditional on behavior, ignoring that the Abrahamic covenant protected LIARS repeatedly.
Parents' disappointment feels like a preview of God's disappointment. When trust is broken at home, it feels like you've broken something irreparable with God too, especially when you keep doing it.
Abraham LIED to Pharaoh, calling his wife his sister to save his own skin. God didn't revoke the blessing—He PLAGUED Pharaoh to protect lying Abraham, and Abraham LEFT EGYPT RICHER with gold, silver, and livestock because the BARAK couldn't be stopped by dishonesty.
I REFUSE the lie that my lying has disqualified me from God's blessing. IT IS WRITTEN that God's gifts and calling are IRREVOCABLE—He doesn't take them back based on my behavior. Abraham lied, Isaac lied, Jacob deceived—yet the BARAK blessing PROTECTED them and made them prosper even in their failures. IT IS WRITTEN that I am the righteousness of God in Christ, not because I tell the truth perfectly, but because JESUS is my righteousness. The Father's love for me isn't based on my honesty report card; it's based on a BLOOD COVENANT that can't be broken by my worst moments. I am BLESSED coming in and going out, BLESSED in the city and the field, because I'm in CHRIST.
The Father isn't keeping a lie count—He's already decided you're BLESSED because you're Abraham's seed through Christ. The same covenant that protected three generations of liars is now YOURS through better promises and better blood.
