"I have to work twice as hard as others to get half the recognition. That's just reality for someone like me."
How it sounds in your head: You've lived it: staying late while others leave early, proving yourself repeatedly while others are assumed competent, working twice as hard for half the credit. You're exhausted from compensating, from being exceptional just to be considered equal. At fifty-plus, you wonder how much longer you can maintain this pace.
"And the LORD will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the LORD your God."
-- Deuteronomy 28:13Enemy turning injustice into identity—making you believe extra effort is requirement rather than recognizing it as enemy opposition to resist.
Because it's been true. You have the resume to prove it—the extra degrees, the flawless performance, the years of over-delivering. The world has trained you that 'good enough' for others means 'not enough' for you.
Slave people, no wealth, no power, four hundred years of being 'less than.' God didn't make them work twice as hard for half the wealth—He had Egyptians GIVE them gold and silver so they plundered the nation in one night. Didn't earn it. Took it.
I REFUSE the lie that I must work twice as hard to be seen as half as good. IT IS WRITTEN that I am the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath—not because I out-perform but because I'm IN CHRIST. The Abrahamic blessing is mine by covenant, not effort. IT IS WRITTEN that the Lord COMMANDS the blessing on my storehouses. I don't compensate, over-deliver, or prove myself into favor that's already mine. I rest in the finished work of Christ and the blessing that protected even Abraham the liar. My value isn't proven; it's inherited.
Your Father isn't impressed by your exhaustion—He's heartbroken by it. He's been running toward you to take the yoke OFF, whispering, 'You're trying to earn what I already gave you. The blessing isn't a wage; it's a BIRTH.'
