"I have to plan my whole life around doctor's orders. They know my body better than God."
How it sounds in your head: The specialists have the charts, the scans, the expertise. God may know my soul, but they know my blood sugar, my cholesterol, my kidney function. I trust their protocols more than His promises.
"Thus says the LORD: 'Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart departs from the LORD. Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD.'"
-- Jeremiah 17:5-7Medical system positioned as higher authority than Creator regarding the body.
Doctors have credentials, technology, measurable data. Their predictions often manifest. Concrete medical advice feels safer than invisible faith. Science appears more reliable than prayer.
Isaiah the prophet (medical AND spiritual authority) said 'Set your house in order, for you shall DIE and not live.' God's response? 'I have heard your prayer... I will ADD fifteen years to your life.' God overruled the death sentence IMMEDIATELY.
I REFUSE the lie that doctors outrank God. IT IS WRITTEN: BLESSED is the man who trusts in the LORD—that's me. Cursed is trusting man over Maker. My body didn't come with a warranty from the hospital; it came with covenant promises from Creator. IT IS WRITTEN: the BARAK blessing means the LORD commands blessing on my body—He gives the orders, not the oncologist. Like Hezekiah, I can receive a different report than the experts gave. God invented my kidneys; He knows them better than the nephrologist.
The Father doesn't consult with specialists about your prognosis—He wrote your days before one of them came to be. He's not intimidated by their charts; He's the One who gave them breath to read them.
