"I have to choose between retiring and living in poverty or working myself into the grave."
How it sounds in your head: It feels like a cruel either/or: retire now and live on nothing, stressed and scraping by, or keep working until your body gives out. There's no third option. You watch your body already protesting—the fatigue, the aches, the slowness. But you can't afford to stop. You feel trapped between two bad choices.
"And the Lord will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you."
-- Deuteronomy 28:11Enemy false dichotomy making you believe God's provision has only two options when He's the God of the third option—supernatural breakthrough.
The math is binary: your expenses versus your retirement income equals shortfall. Your body is already showing signs of wearing out. You feel the squeeze from both sides with no way out.
Peter's mother-in-law was sick with a fever—laid out, unable to work or serve. Jesus touched her hand and IMMEDIATELY the fever left and she got up and served them. Instant healing, instant return to activity and purpose, no 'recovery period' needed.
I REFUSE the lie that I must choose between poverty and working myself to death. IT IS WRITTEN that the Lord grants me PLENTY—not barely enough, but PLENTY. I am redeemed from the curse of Deuteronomy 28 and planted in the blessing. IT IS WRITTEN in Galatians 3:13 that Christ became a curse so I could receive the blessing of Abraham. The barak protected Abraham even in famine. God opened Red Seas when there was no way. He gives me a third option—His supernatural provision and health. I reject the false choice. My body is renewed like the eagle's. My latter days are blessed. I retire into rest and plenty, not poverty and death. I am the blessed of the Lord.
The Father isn't watching you choose between two bad options—He's preparing the third way you haven't seen yet, where you rest in health AND plenty because that's what Jesus died to give you. He's not the God of either/or; He's the God of the impossible third way.
