"I had an abortion; I'm a murderer and God can never fully forgive that."
How it sounds in your head: I made that choice—ended a life. Even if God forgives me legally, how can He ever look at me the same? I killed my own child. That's not just sin; that's murder. I'm marked forever.
"He will again have compassion on us, and will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea."
-- Micah 7:19Source: Religious condemnation and enemy accusation that weaponizes grief into permanent identity as 'murderer' beyond grace.
The weight of taking a life feels categorically different from other sins, and the grief and 'what ifs' replay constantly, convincing you there's a hierarchy of sin and this one is beyond the blood.
Manasseh sacrificed his OWN SONS in fire to demons, filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, practiced witchcraft and sorcery—the worst king in Israel's history. When he humbled himself, God heard him, brought him back, and RESTORED him to the throne—immediate forgiveness for child sacrifice.
I REFUSE the lie that my abortion has put me in a category beyond God's grace. IT IS WRITTEN that He casts ALL my sins into the depths of the sea—unreachable, erased. Manasseh sacrificed his own children to demons and was fully restored to kingship. IT IS WRITTEN there is NO condemnation for those in Christ. I am blessed with the BARAK covenant that covers even the worst failures. The enemy wants me imprisoned in guilt. I am FORGIVEN, my child is with Jesus, and my Father wraps me in the robe of righteousness—I am His beloved son.
Your Father sees your grief, knows your regret, and He's not holding this over you. He's already prepared a place where you'll meet that child, and He's running toward you NOW with arms open—because His love doesn't have a 'but not for that' clause.
