"I got kicked out and that rejection defines how people see me"

How it sounds in your head: You got expelled. Or kicked out of your fraternity. Or asked to leave the church. Or fired from that internship. Whatever it was, everyone knows. You're the guy who got kicked out. That rejection follows you. Even when you join something new, you wonder if they know, if they've heard, if they see you as permanently 'the problem.'

Psalm 27:10

"When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take care of me."

-- Psalm 27:10
Enemy whispers: That rejection defines you. BUT IT IS WRITTEN: Psalm 27:10—'When my father and mother forsake me, then the Lord will take care of me.' Even when people reject you, GOD RECEIVES YOU. IT IS WRITTEN: 'The one who comes to Me I will never cast out.' Human institutions may have kicked you out, but you cannot be expelled from the Father's house. Jesus was rejected by religious leaders and crucified outside the city—rejection by the wrong people positions you for promotion by God.
Quick Truth: LIE: Rejection defines you. TRUTH: When people forsake you, God receives you (Ps 27:10). Jesus was rejected too—you're in good company.

Source: institutional rejection weaponized by the enemy to make temporary removal feel like permanent exile and identity

Why this feels true:

The rejection was public enough that explanations are required. He's had to answer 'why did you leave?' questions repeatedly. The shame of being asked to leave—whatever it was—feels like a brand he can't hide.

1 Samuel 22:1-2
David

David was kicked out—running from Saul, rejected by the establishment, hiding in a cave with a bunch of other rejects and debtors. That cave of outcasts became his mighty men who conquered nations. God turned his place of rejection into his leadership training ground.

Speak this out loud

I REFUSE the lie that being kicked out defines my identity. IT IS WRITTEN that when people forsake me, the Lord takes care of me. Jesus Himself was rejected by religious institutions and crucified outside the city—rejection by the wrong people is often POSITIONING. David was kicked out and hiding in a cave; God turned that cave of rejects into mighty men who conquered kingdoms. The BARAK blessing followed Abraham even when Pharaoh kicked him out—he left RICHER. IT IS WRITTEN: No condemnation. I am accepted in the Beloved, received by the Father, and positioned for promotion that institutions could never give me anyway.

But God actually:

The Father specializes in receiving people that institutions reject. You're not damaged goods because they kicked you out—you're in the company of every prophet, apostle, and Jesus Himself, all rejected by the 'right' people and received by God.
