"I experimented with shamanism and spirit guides—I betrayed God at the deepest level."
How it sounds in your head: I sought spiritual power from sources God hates. I invited other spirits to guide me. That's not just a mistake—that's betrayal. You don't come back from that kind of spiritual adultery without permanent consequences.
"And it shall be, in that day, says the LORD, that you will call Me 'My Husband,' and no longer call Me 'My Master.'"
-- Hosea 2:16Source: religion - Teaching that spiritual adultery creates permanent relational damage with God.
The language of Scripture about spiritual adultery sounds final. You fear you broke covenant in a way that leaves you relationally damaged with God forever.
Gomer was a literal prostitute who committed adultery repeatedly after marrying Hosea. God commanded Hosea to buy her back from slavery and restore her fully—INSTANT restoration to wife status despite ongoing adultery, as a picture of His love for spiritual adulterers.
I REFUSE the lie that shamanism betrayed God beyond repair. IT IS WRITTEN that He calls me 'Husband,' not 'Master'—intimate relationship fully restored despite my spiritual adultery. Every spirit guide I consulted is forgiven. Every betrayal is covered. IT IS WRITTEN that He remembers my sins no more. I am not relationally damaged—I am His beloved. I am not an unfaithful servant on probation—I am a cherished bride fully restored. The BARAK blessing is mine because of covenant, not conduct.
The Father doesn't relate to you as a betrayed husband holding grudges. He relates to you as Hosea to Gomer—full restoration, intimate love, with your spiritual adultery completely forgotten.
