"I don't fit in anywhere anymore; the world moved on without me and I'm irrelevant."
How it sounds in your head: Church is full of young families. Your expertise is outdated. The culture shifted and you don't recognize it. You're a relic, tolerated but not needed. No tribe, no team, no place where you're essential anymore.
"But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased."
-- 1 Corinthians 12:18Identity crisis rooted in career-ended/role-shifted season weaponized by cultural youth-worship and enemy assignment to silence elder voices.
You're not in the workforce. Church programs target families with kids. Conversations reference things you don't know. You feel like you're watching life from the sidelines, not playing. Nobody's asking for your input.
84 years old, widowed for decades, lived in the temple. Culture saw her as old widow. God positioned her as FIRST to recognize and prophesy over the Messiah. Her age wasn't limitation—it was AUTHORITY. She spoke over Jesus and influenced all Jerusalem INSTANTLY at an age when others were invisible.
I REFUSE the lie that I don't fit anywhere. IT IS WRITTEN that God has SET me in the Body exactly as He PLEASED—not as I feel, but as HE DESIGNED. I am not obsolete; I am POSITIONED. My place isn't determined by culture's youth-worship but by divine ASSIGNMENT. The blessing of Abraham makes me the HEAD not the tail in EVERY season, including this one. IT IS WRITTEN I am fearfully and wonderfully made—that includes NOW, at this age, in this season. I declare: I FIT exactly where the Father placed me, and my voice carries WEIGHT in the kingdom.
The Father isn't searching for a place to fit you in. He's running toward you, saying 'I've had your seat prepared from the foundation of the world—it's not VACANT until you fill it. You're not extra; you're ESSENTIAL exactly as you are NOW.'
