"I don't deserve success because I haven't worked as hard as others who have it."
How it sounds in your head: Other people grind harder, study more, sacrifice everything. You cut corners, procrastinate, take breaks. If you succeed, it's not legitimate—you didn't earn it the 'right' way. You're stealing what belongs to harder workers.
"And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."
-- Galatians 3:29Religious works-righteousness lie that blessing must be earned through human effort and suffering.
You see people pulling all-nighters and hustling relentlessly while you value balance and rest, making you feel lazy by comparison. The Protestant work ethic and 'grind culture' have made you believe blessing is compensation for sweat, not covenant gift.
He simply planted seed in the land and reaped a hundredfold the same year because 'the Lord blessed him.' He didn't outwork anyone—he became so wealthy from blessing (not labor) that the Philistines envied him and asked him to leave.
I REFUSE the lie that I must earn blessing through harder work than others. IT IS WRITTEN that I am an heir according to promise, not according to performance or effort. My inheritance comes from covenant, not competition. IT IS WRITTEN that the blessing of Abraham is mine in Christ—the same blessing that made Isaac wealthy with one planting, that protected Jacob the deceiver, that enriched Abraham the liar. The BARAK isn't wages for my work; it's a gift from my Father based on His covenant faithfulness, not my hustle. I reject the curse of works-righteousness and receive the blessing of grace. Success in my life is legitimate because it flows from whose I am, not from how hard I grind. I am blessed coming in and going out, and that blessing rests on me right now—whether I'm working or resting.
Your Father isn't measuring your hours against anyone else's timesheet. He's lavishing blessing on you because you're His son, and He takes pleasure in prospering you—not after you've proven yourself through sleepless nights, but right now, while you're reading this, because that's what fathers do.
