"I chose the wrong major. I've wasted years and money on a degree I can't use now."
How it sounds in your head: You committed to this path and now you realize it's not what you want. But you're already in debt. Already invested. It's too late to start over without looking flaky or wasting everything you've done.
"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."
-- Romans 8:28Source: world/trauma - Sunk cost fallacy combined with shame over changing direction.
You have loans, transcripts, and years invested in something that no longer fits. Starting over feels financially irresponsible and like admitting failure publicly.
Moses spent 40 years being trained as Egyptian royalty, then 40 years in the wilderness as a shepherd thinking his purpose was over. At 80, God used BOTH experiences—the palace training and the desert leading—to deliver a nation. Nothing was wasted.
I REFUSE the lie that I've wasted time or made irreversible mistakes with my education. IT IS WRITTEN that all things work together for good to those who love God. My Father wastes NOTHING. Every experience, every skill, every connection is being woven into my purpose. IT IS WRITTEN that He directs my paths—even the ones that seemed wrong. Like Moses, what looked like 40 wasted years became preparation for destiny. The BARAK blessing redeems every investment and turns even detours into advantage. I trust His ability to make beauty from what looks like a mess.
The Father isn't disappointed you changed direction—He's PROUD you had the courage to follow His whisper instead of sunk cost. He's already using everything you learned in ways you can't see yet, weaving it into a story only He could write.
