THE LIE Bad Financial Decisions

"I can't ask God for money stuff because there are bigger problems in the world He cares about more."

How it sounds in your head: Kids are starving in Africa and I'm worried about wanting new clothes. God has more important things to deal with than my small financial stuff. I should only pray about serious spiritual matters, not shallow material needs.

IT IS WRITTEN Matthew 10:29-31

"Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father's will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows."

Enemy whispers: Your financial needs are too small for God to care about. BUT IT IS WRITTEN: Matthew 10:29-31 - Your Father notices when ONE SPARROW falls and has numbered the HAIRS on your head. If He tracks details that insignificant about birds, how much MORE does He care about everything concerning you? He's not rationing His attention. Jesus' FIRST miracle was providing WINE at a PARTY. He cares about ALL of it.

Real global suffering exists and comparison makes her needs feel trivial. Adults have modeled praying for 'important things' while dismissing material concerns as superficial or selfish.

Peter's Tax Coin

Tax collectors asked Peter if Jesus paid the temple tax—basically a relatively small administrative fee. Jesus could have said 'I'm busy with Kingdom work,' but instead He sent Peter fishing and provided the EXACT coin needed in a fish's mouth. Small financial need, INSTANT supernatural provision. God cares about the details.

I REFUSE the lie that my financial needs are too small for God's attention. IT IS WRITTEN: My Father numbers the hairs on my head and notices when sparrows fall—He cares about EVERY detail of my life, including finances. He's not rationing His attention based on global problem severity. IT IS WRITTEN: Cast ALL your cares on Him, for He cares for you. The BARAK blessing covers EVERY area—blessed in the city and in the field, coming in and going out. I bring my financial needs boldly to my Father who delights in providing for His daughter.

But God actually:

Your Father sees you shrinking your needs out of false guilt, and He wants you to know that His heart isn't divided between you and global problems. He's fully present to you, fully attentive to your needs, and fully ready to move on your behalf—because you're His DAUGHTER and nothing about you is too small for His care.
