"I always say the wrong thing. I ruin conversations and make everything awkward."
How it sounds in your head: You replay every conversation, cringing at what you said. You overshared. You made it weird. You said the thing that killed the vibe. People exchange looks when you talk. You're the common denominator in every awkward silence.
"Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit."
-- Proverbs 18:21Spirit of fear and self-consciousness attacking your voice and confidence in connection.
You've watched faces change after you spoke. You've gotten the polite laugh that means it wasn't funny. You've been told 'that's random' or 'okay then' enough times to believe you're the problem.
Moses claimed he was slow of speech and not eloquent, convinced his voice was disqualified. God said, 'WHO made your mouth? Now GO, and I will be WITH your mouth and teach you what to say.' INSTANT commissioning despite perceived inadequacy.
I REFUSE the lie that I always say the wrong thing. IT IS WRITTEN that death and life are in the power of MY tongue—my words carry LIFE, not destruction. The enemy attacks my voice because it's POWERFUL. IT IS WRITTEN in Isaiah 50:4 that God has given me the tongue of the learned. I am not awkward. I am ANOINTED. My words are for my people, and they will RECEIVE them. The BARAK blessing includes favor in communication. I speak with grace and confidence NOW.
The Father doesn't cringe at your words—He's putting HIS words in your mouth. Like Moses, you don't have to be eloquent to be EQUIPPED; He's with your mouth, teaching you what to say, even when you think you blew it.
