"Hope for earthly blessing now is worldly and unspiritual when eternity is near."
How it sounds in your head: Shouldn't I be focused on heaven, not earth? Wanting financial blessing, health, success—isn't that carnal when Jesus is coming soon? Shouldn't I just seek souls and endure hardship?
"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."
-- 3 John 1:2Source: Religion created false spirituality by demonizing earthly blessing, confusing poverty with piety.
She's heard 'store up treasures in heaven, not earth,' been told 'seek first the kingdom,' seen earthly blessing equated with greed or lack of eternal focus. Wanting provision feels unspiritual when heaven is 'soon.'
After horrific suffering, God didn't say 'just focus on heaven now, Job.' He RESTORED double—twice the livestock, wealth, children. Job's latter days were MORE BLESSED than his beginning, proving God delights in earthly restoration, not just eternal consolation.
I REFUSE the lie that earthly blessing is unspiritual. IT IS WRITTEN that God prays I prosper in ALL THINGS and be in HEALTH as my soul prospers—spirit, soul, AND body blessed NOW. The BARAK blessing didn't promise heaven only; it promised blessing in city, field, basket, store, coming and going—EARTHLY, PRESENT provisions. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus came to give ABUNDANT life, that He bears our sicknesses and carries our pains. My prosperity isn't greed; it's GLORY to Him. Wealth and riches are in the house of the righteous, and I AM righteous by His blood.
Your Father isn't waiting until heaven to bless you—He already blessed you with EVERY spiritual blessing in heavenly places and wants those manifested on EARTH as it is in heaven. Your health, wealth, joy NOW displays His kingdom, it doesn't distract from it.
