"God's timing is different than mine—I just have to keep waiting"
How it sounds in your head: Everyone says 'God's timing is perfect.' I'm 65 and still waiting. How much longer? I might die before I see this answered. Maybe His timing means never in my lifetime.
"The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance."
-- 2 Peter 3:9Source: Religion spiritualized delay to protect God's reputation instead of proclaiming His eagerness to answer immediately.
You've heard 'wait on the Lord' your entire Christian life, and at your age, time is running out. Friends are dying, and you're calculating whether you'll live long enough to see your breakthrough.
Jairus' daughter died while he was getting Jesus—past hope, past timing. Yet Jesus said 'she's only sleeping,' took her hand, and she rose IMMEDIATELY, fully alive. Death itself didn't create a waiting period.
I REFUSE the lie that I must keep waiting for some future perfect timing. IT IS WRITTEN: the Lord is NOT SLACK concerning His promise—He's not delaying, He's EAGER to answer. My breakthrough isn't scheduled for some distant future; it's available NOW because I'm Abraham's seed. IT IS WRITTEN: now is the day of salvation, now is the accepted time. The BARAK blessing operated IMMEDIATELY when Abraham needed it—God plagued Pharaoh THAT NIGHT. I declare I don't wait for God; I REST in His finished work. My answer is YES and AMEN right now. I am HEIR of promise. I am in the FATHER'S perfect timing TODAY.
The Father isn't making you wait to test your patience or prove something—He's been working while you couldn't see, and the breakthrough you think is years away is actually at the door. He's not slow; He's strategic, and His timing for you is NOW, not someday.
