"God won't give me energy until I prove I'll use it right."

How it sounds in your head: Maybe if I commit to serving more, praying more, being more faithful, THEN God will restore my strength. He's probably withholding it because I'd just waste it on myself. I need to earn the right to feel energized.

Luke 15:22-23

"But the father said to his servants, Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry."

-- Luke 15:22-23
Enemy whispers: God won't restore your energy until you prove you'll use it right—you have to earn it. BUT IT IS WRITTEN: Luke 15:22-23 - The father gave the prodigal the BEST robe, the ring, sandals, and threw a party BEFORE any proof of change. Not after probation, not after a 7-step recovery plan—IMMEDIATELY, while he still smelled like pigs. God doesn't withhold blessing until you prove worthiness. He loads you with benefits because you're His daughter, not because you've demonstrated responsible energy management. Gifts come FIRST; fruit comes FROM receiving, not TO EARN receiving.
Quick Truth: LIE: Must earn energy. TRUTH: Father gave prodigal EVERYTHING before reformation—grace first. Luke 15:22

Religion teaching God as employer who pays strength-wages for spiritual performance, erasing the Father who gives the prodigal everything BEFORE reformation.

Why this feels true:

She's heard sermons about stewardship and faithfulness, internalized the idea that God tests you with little before giving much, and now sees her fatigue as evidence she hasn't passed the test yet.

2 Samuel 9:6-7
Mephibosheth

Mephibosheth was crippled, hiding, from the enemy's family line, and brought nothing to the table. David immediately restored ALL of Saul's land to him and gave him permanent place at the king's table—not for his merit, but for covenant's sake.

Speak this out loud

I REFUSE the lie that I must prove worthiness before God restores my strength. IT IS WRITTEN that the Father gave the prodigal EVERYTHING before reformation—robe, ring, sandals, party—because that's GRACE. I don't earn energy through spiritual performance; I receive it as a daughter. Like Mephibosheth given the king's table while still crippled, I'm given the blessing not for what I bring but for WHO I belong to. IT IS WRITTEN in Ephesians 2:8-9 that salvation is by grace through faith, NOT OF WORKS—and neither is healing, provision, or restoration. I am a branch abiding in the Vine, and fruit comes FROM connection to His life, not from my attempts to prove I deserve His life. Divine energy flows NOW because He is good, not later when I'm good enough.

But God actually:

The Father isn't waiting for you to clean up, commit more, or prove you'll steward energy correctly before He moves—He's already running toward you with the robe, the ring, the full restoration. He gives gifts to UNQUALIFIED children because that's what fathers do. Your worthiness was settled at the cross, not at your performance review.
