"God won't answer my prayers for provision until I've learned financial discipline."
How it sounds in your head: Why would He give you more when you haven't learned to manage what you had? He's waiting for you to take a financial class, make a budget, show some responsibility. Then maybe He'll consider it.
"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!"
-- Matthew 7:11Religious works-teaching that God responds based on behavioral improvement rather than covenant relationship.
Churches offer Financial Peace University and budgeting classes, implying God requires financial education before blessing. It sounds reasonable—why give to someone who'll waste it again?
Peter needed tax money and had nothing—hadn't budgeted, planned, or saved. Jesus told him to cast a line and the first fish had the exact coin needed—immediate supernatural provision without a financial literacy requirement.
I REFUSE the lie that God withholds provision until I prove discipline. IT IS WRITTEN that my Father gives good things to those who ASK, not those who graduate financial classes. Peter got the tax coin without a budget. The widow got multiplied oil without debt counseling. IT IS WRITTEN in Philippians 4:19 that God supplies ALL my need according to His riches in glory. His giving is based on HIS NATURE, not my financial report card. I ask and receive NOW because I'm His daughter.
Your Father isn't waiting for you to pass a financial course—He's the One who gave manna to Israelites who'd never managed money, who multiplied a boy's lunch without checking his stewardship résumé. He gives because He's a good Father and you're His beloved daughter, period.
