How it sounds in your head: You wish your parents were more spiritual, prayed more, believed more. You feel like you're missing out on God's best because your family's faith isn't strong enough. Maybe if your dad led family devotions or your mom prayed like other moms, God would move in your finances. You feel penalized for their lack.

You see families with praying parents who seem more blessed and you desperately want that for your own family. The enemy uses your longing for spiritual leadership to lie about your direct access to God through Jesus.
Disciples asked if the man's blindness was caused by his sin or his parents' sin—Jesus said NEITHER, and healed him instantly. The man's condition wasn't tied to his parents' faith or failure; Jesus healed him based on his own encounter with the Messiah, and the man went from blind beggar to healed worshiper in one afternoon.
I REFUSE the lie that I need my parents' faith for God to bless me. IT IS WRITTEN that I have the RIGHT to be God's child by MY faith in Jesus—I'm born of GOD, not of my parents' spiritual performance. I come BOLDLY to the throne of grace myself with direct access through Jesus' blood. The blind man wasn't healed through his parents—Jesus healed him directly. IT IS WRITTEN in Galatians 3:26 'You are all sons of God through FAITH in Christ Jesus.' I am Abraham's seed, the BARAK blessing is mine personally, and Heaven responds to MY faith RIGHT NOW regardless of anyone else's spiritual level.
The Father doesn't make you wait for your parents to get their faith together—He's already running toward YOU with the robe and ring. Like the prodigal whose father didn't check his parents' spiritual resume before throwing the party, your Father celebrates your faith and releases blessing directly to you because you're HIS child.
