THE LIE Singleness as Curse
"God is withholding marriage because I haven't dealt with my issues yet."

How it sounds in your head: Every sermon says 'God is preparing you' which really means I'm not ready yet. I need to conquer this addiction, get my finances right, heal from my family stuff. Marriage is the carrot at the end of the self-improvement stick, and I keep failing the prerequisites.

IT IS WRITTEN Romans 5:8

"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Enemy whispers: God is waiting for you to get your act together before blessing you with relationship. BUT IT IS WRITTEN: Romans 5:8 - 'While we were STILL SINNERS, Christ died for us.' Not after we dealt with our issues. Not when we were ready. WHILE STILL. Abraham was blessed while lying. Jacob was blessed while deceiving. Isaac inherited everything before doing anything. IT IS WRITTEN the blessing comes by promise, not performance. God isn't withholding until you're fixed—He gives while you're still in process because that's GRACE.

Jacob fled home as a deceiver who stole his brother's blessing through lies and manipulation—zero character development or therapy. He met Rachel at a well, fell in love instantly, and worked seven years which 'seemed only a few days because of his love.' God didn't make him deal with his deception first.

The Father isn't holding relationship hostage until you complete His obstacle course. He's the God who gave Isaac a wife while Isaac did literally nothing—Abraham's servant found her. Grace gives before you're ready, because readiness is a religious myth and love covers multitudes.
