"God is withholding financial blessing to teach me contentment and patience."
How it sounds in your head: Maybe this lack is a lesson. Maybe God is building character through this struggle. 'Suffering produces perseverance,' right? Maybe you're supposed to learn to be content with nothing before He gives you something. This is your spiritual training. Don't be greedy—be grateful for the process.
"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."
-- John 10:10Source: religious teaching that makes God the author of lack and turns poverty into a spiritual curriculum.
Pastors quote verses about contentment and patience. Books say God uses financial hardship to develop you. It sounds spiritual to embrace suffering, and the lack has gone on long enough to feel intentional.
Sick for THIRTY-EIGHT YEARS at the pool waiting for a miracle, surrounded by other invalids. Jesus didn't lecture him about patience—He healed him IMMEDIATELY with one command. No process, no lesson, just instant breakthrough.
I REFUSE the lie that God withholds blessing to teach me contentment. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus came to give ABUNDANT life—the thief came to steal it. My Father is not the author of lack. He didn't make Abraham poor to build character—He kept him wealthy even when he LIED. IT IS WRITTEN that it pleased the Father to give me the Kingdom. The barak blessing is not withheld for lessons—it's covenant promise. I reject poverty as spiritual training. My Father is RUNNING toward me with the fattened calf, not rationing scraps to develop patience. Abundance is mine NOW.
Your Father isn't making you financially struggle to develop you. He's grieving WITH you over what the thief stole, running toward you with everything that's already yours. The lesson isn't lack—the lesson is HIS ABUNDANCE.
