"God is teaching us financial responsibility through this betrayal and consequences are His will."
How it sounds in your head: Maybe this happened because we weren't being wise stewards. God is using this betrayal to teach us discipline and dependence on Him. The pain is part of His plan to mature us financially and spiritually.
"Let no one say when he is tempted, 'I am tempted by God'; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning."
-- James 1:13-17Religion makes God the author of betrayal and pain, turning the Father into a distant teacher using suffering as curriculum.
Christian teaching often frames hardship as God's tool for growth, and making sense of pain through a redemptive narrative feels comforting. Believing God orchestrated the lesson gives meaning to the mess.
Job's friends spent the entire book insisting that Job's suffering was God's punishment or teaching, trying to find the reason God allowed it. In the end, God rebuked them for misrepresenting Him and said they spoke wrongly—suffering wasn't God's curriculum or punishment.
I REFUSE the lie that God authored this betrayal to teach me responsibility or that suffering is His will for my growth. IT IS WRITTEN that God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He tempt anyone—He doesn't use betrayal as a teaching tool. Every good and perfect gift comes from the Father, and financial deception is neither good nor perfect. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus came to give ABUNDANT LIFE—the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. My pain is an attack God wants to REDEEM, not a lesson He orchestrated. I am a BRANCH connected to the VINE, and God's nature is goodness, not suffering-as-curriculum. The BARAK blessing is mine by covenant, not earned through painful consequences. Job's friends were WRONG when they blamed God for suffering—so is this lie.
The Father didn't send this betrayal as a lesson plan—He's heartbroken over your pain and running toward you with the solution, not standing back waiting for you to learn something. His nature is GIVING good gifts, not engineering painful classrooms.
