When bad things happen, we instinctively search for what we did wrong because control feels safer than chaos. Religion reinforces this by implying that obedience guarantees outcomes.
He lost everything—all ten children, all wealth, his health—and his religious friends insisted it was punishment for sin. They were WRONG. Job had done nothing wrong. God rebuked the 'comforters' and restored Job's fortunes DOUBLE—gave him twice what he lost, 14,000 sheep instead of 7,000, 6,000 camels instead of 3,000, new children, and he lived 140 more blessed years.
I REFUSE the lie that God is punishing me. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NO condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. Jesus took ALL punishment at the cross—there's NONE left for me. IT IS WRITTEN that the works of God are about to be REVEALED in this situation. I am not being disciplined—I am being DELIVERED. The Father's face is not turned away in anger; His face is turned TOWARD me in compassion. The BARAK blessing isn't withheld because of my imperfection—it flows because of COVENANT. I declare Job's DOUBLE restoration. What was lost is being MULTIPLIED back.
The Father is not shaking His head in disappointment. He's holding you, saying, 'This isn't punishment. This is a plot twist in your redemption story. Watch what I do with this. Watch how I turn mourning into dancing and make something BEAUTIFUL from these ashes.'
