"God is done with me. I had my chance and now I'm just waiting for the end."
How it sounds in your head: Your productive years are behind you. God used you when you were useful—raising kids, working, serving. But now? You're benched. Your purpose expired with your career. You're just filling time until heaven, irrelevant to God's current plans.
"They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing."
-- Psalm 92:14Enemy lie plus religious teaching that equates purpose with productivity and youth.
You ARE retired. You DON'T have the platform you once had. Younger men lead at church now. Your career—your identity—is over. It feels like you're waiting in the lobby while life happens elsewhere.
Caleb was 85 years old when he said, 'Give me this mountain!' and conquered territory younger men feared. His strength and passion at 85 matched what he had at 40, and God gave him IMMEDIATE victory over giants, proving purpose doesn't retire.
I REFUSE the lie that God is done with me. IT IS WRITTEN that I shall STILL bear fruit in old age—fresh and flourishing, not dried up and waiting. God doesn't measure purpose by career status or physical age. IT IS WRITTEN that the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable—what He placed in me at 20 is STILL active at 75. I stand under the BARAK blessing that made Abraham the father of nations at 75+, that gave Moses his greatest assignment at 80, that empowered Caleb to conquer mountains at 85. I declare I am NOT benched, NOT irrelevant, NOT just waiting. I am FRESH, FLOURISHING, and carrying assignments only age and wisdom can fulfill. My BEST fruit is ahead, not behind. I am CHOSEN, ACTIVE, and PURPOSED—now and until He calls me home.
The Father isn't putting you on a shelf—He's positioning you for your CALEB season. The wisdom, patience, and perspective you carry now are what only age can produce. He's not waiting for you to die; He's preparing you to GIVE YOUR MOUNTAIN speech.
