"God is disappointed in me because I'm not bold enough to share my faith"
How it sounds in your head: I get so scared to talk about Jesus at school. Other kids might think I'm weird. I see stories of bold kids leading friends to Jesus and I just freeze up. God must be so disappointed.
"But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased."
-- 1 Corinthians 12:18Religion measures spirituality by extroversion and boldness, shaming introverted or fearful children as 'less faithful' instead of celebrating diverse gifting.
She hears testimonies of kids fearlessly preaching at school and leading whole lunch tables to Christ. When she stays quiet to avoid rejection, shame floods in and she assumes God is frustrated with her cowardice.
Barnabas means 'Son of Encouragement.' He wasn't the loud preacher like Peter or Paul; he was the quiet encourager who brought people to the loud preachers. He's called 'a good man, full of the Holy Spirit' without a single recorded sermon.
I REFUSE the lie that God is disappointed in my quiet faith. IT IS WRITTEN that God set me in the Body exactly as He pleased, which means my personality is not a mistake. I don't have to be loud to be loved or bold to be blessed. Barnabas was quiet and called GOOD and full of the Spirit. IT IS WRITTEN there is no condemnation in Christ, so I will not condemn myself for not being an extroverted evangelist. My kindness, my prayers, my life—those speak. I am the righteousness of God whether I preach at lunch or quietly love one friend at a time. The BARAK blessing doesn't require a megaphone.
The Father isn't pacing Heaven disappointed that you're not louder. He's smiling at the exact way He wired you, and He's using your quiet faithfulness in ways you can't even see yet.
