"God is angry at my parents and that anger extends to our whole family now."
How it sounds in your head: You can feel it - God's disappointment hovering over your house. Your parents broke their vow and now the blessing is gone. You're living under a cloud of divine disapproval and there's nothing you can do about it.
"For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."
-- John 3:17Source: Old Covenant understanding where God's anger visited multiple generations, replaced by New Covenant grace.
Things have been harder since the divorce - finances tight, stress constant. It feels like God removed His hand of protection when they signed the papers.
Hosea's kids were named 'No Mercy' and 'Not My People' because of their mother's adultery - literally named after covenant breaking. God RENAMED them 'You have obtained mercy' and 'Sons of the living God' - instant identity reversal despite parents' failure.
I REFUSE the lie that God's anger follows my family. IT IS WRITTEN that God sent His Son to SAVE, not condemn. My parents' divorce does NOT remove me from the Father's love. IT IS WRITTEN that He will not keep His anger forever - and I live under the BLOOD, where wrath was satisfied. The BARAK blessing covers my household. I am BELOVED, not condemned. God is FOR my family, running toward us with mercy, not away from us in anger.
The Father is not standing at a distance with arms crossed. He's grieving WITH you over the pain, not CAUSING it as punishment - actively working all things together for your good because that's who He is.
