"God gave me this business as a test and I failed, proving I'm not ready for His blessing."
How it sounds in your head: This was my Abraham-and-Isaac moment, my wilderness season, my character-building test. I was supposed to prove faithful, and I didn't. Now I'm disqualified from the next level. I wasn't ready, and God knows it.
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
-- Romans 5:8Religion teaching God as cosmic examiner instead of Father, making His blessings conditional on passing tests.
The pressure felt like a test, the collapse felt like a failing grade, and the silence after feels like being held back a grade. Tests have pass/fail outcomes, and this one clearly failed.
The thief on the cross had NO time to prove himself, NO opportunity to pass tests, NO track record of faithfulness. He simply said, 'Lord, remember me,' and Jesus said, 'TODAY you will be with Me in Paradise.' Instant qualification by GRACE.
I REFUSE the lie that God was testing me and I failed. IT IS WRITTEN that God demonstrated His love while I was STILL A SINNER—not after I proved myself. His blessing isn't a trophy for passing tests; it's a GIFT. IT IS WRITTEN that by GRACE I am saved, not by works, lest I should boast. The thief on the cross qualified for Paradise in ONE SENTENCE with zero track record. I am qualified by JESUS' BLOOD, not my business performance. The BARAK blessing is mine by covenant, not by exam scores. I am righteous because HE is righteous, and that's a GIFT. The Father isn't grading me—He's running toward me with open arms.
Your Father isn't a professor waiting for you to pass exams. He's a Dad who ran to you while you still smelled like failure. The blessing isn't a trophy you earn—it's an inheritance you HAVE. You don't qualify. You're FAMILY.
