"God doesn't need my money—He owns everything, so my tithe means nothing."
How it sounds in your head: He's God—what's $100 to Him? He spoke galaxies into existence. Your little tithe is like offering a billionaire a quarter. It feels performative and pointless. If He wanted to fund the church, He could drop gold from the sky.
"For if there is first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have."
-- 2 Corinthians 8:12Enemy: minimizing your participation in the Kingdom by making you feel insignificant and unnecessary.
God IS infinite and owns everything—Psalm 50 says He owns cattle on a thousand hills. Your finances are a rounding error in Kingdom economics. It logically feels like your contribution is meaningless.
A boy gave his lunch—five loaves and two fish—pathetically inadequate for 5,000 men plus families. Jesus didn't need his lunch; He could've created food from nothing. But He TOOK the boy's seed, multiplied it, fed 15,000+ people, and had 12 BASKETS left over—the boy's tiny gift became legendary abundance.
I REFUSE the lie that my tithe is meaningless. IT IS WRITTEN: God accepts it according to what I have, not what I lack—my willingness is what He sees. He doesn't need my money; He wants my HEART, and my seed in His hand becomes multiplication. I walk under the BARAK blessing where God commanded blessing on my storehouses—He doesn't need my obedience to be God, but I need my obedience to access open Heaven. IT IS WRITTEN: The windows of Heaven open over MY life when I bring tithes. The boy's lunch fed 15,000—God takes my little and makes it legendary.
The Father watches you measure your small seed against His vast resources and laughs with delight—'Son, I don't need it; I want to MULTIPLY it.' He's not asking for your money to pay His bills; He's asking for your seed so He can blow your mind with what He grows from it.
