"God doesn't need my money—He owns everything anyway, so giving is pointless."
How it sounds in your head: God's got cattle on a thousand hills. He created gold and silver. My little offering doesn't add anything to His kingdom. Keeping it would actually help me be in a better position to give later when it actually matters.
"So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver."
-- 2 Corinthians 9:7Source: Enemy's twisting of God's sovereignty into an excuse for greed, making omnipotence a reason for disobedience instead of trust.
Theologically, God really doesn't need anything from humans—Acts 17:25 says He's not served by human hands as though He needed anything. This makes withholding feel spiritually logical.
A widow with nothing but one jar of oil was told to pour it out into borrowed vessels—as she poured, it multiplied supernaturally until every vessel was full. She sold it, paid all her debts, and lived on the surplus.
I REFUSE the lie that God's self-sufficiency excuses my stinginess. IT IS WRITTEN that God loves a cheerful giver—not because He's needy but because giving breaks mammon's chains and opens heaven's floodgates over MY life. I am Abraham's seed; the BARAK blessing flows through me not based on my behavior but on Christ's finished work. My giving doesn't fund God's kingdom—it funds MY participation in what He's already accomplishing. IT IS WRITTEN in Luke 6:38—give and it shall be GIVEN unto me, good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over. I don't give to fill God's pockets; I give to empty mine so He can refill them with supernatural abundance.
The Father doesn't need your seed—but He's SO eager to multiply it that He set up the entire system as an excuse to lavish you with MORE. He's not sitting in heaven waiting for donations; He's waiting for you to test His promise and watch Him blow your mind.
