"God could heal me instantly but chooses not to, so He must not care."

How it sounds in your head: I read about Jesus healing everyone who came to Him, instantly. I've prayed and my parents have prayed, but I'm still like this. If God really loved me and could do anything, wouldn't He just fix this? Maybe He heals other people but not me.

Romans 8:28

"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."

-- Romans 8:28
Enemy whispers: If God loved you, you'd be healed by now. BUT IT IS WRITTEN: Romans 8:28 - 'ALL things work together for good to those who love God.' Not 'only healed things'—ALL things. Paul begged God THREE times to remove his thorn, and God said 'My grace is sufficient.' Unanswered prayer isn't unloving—it's TRUSTING. IT IS WRITTEN in John 11:5-6 that Jesus LOVED Lazarus but DELAYED coming when he was sick. The delay wasn't lack of love—it set up GREATER glory. God's timing isn't rejection.
Quick Truth: LIE: God doesn't care because He hasn't healed me. TRUTH: God's love is proven at the cross, not by timing—delays aren't rejection. (Rom 8:28, John 11:5-6)

Enemy twisting unanswered prayer into evidence of God's indifference, plus religious teaching that healing depends on human faith levels.

Why this feels true:

He reads Scripture about instant healings and experiences the gap between biblical promises and his current reality. The cognitive dissonance makes God seem selective or uncaring toward him specifically.

1 Timothy 5:23
Timothy

Paul's spiritual son and ministry partner had ongoing stomach problems and frequent illnesses. Paul didn't rebuke his faith or say 'try harder'—he suggested practical care while Timothy continued in powerful ministry, beloved and anointed.

Speak this out loud

I REFUSE the lie that unanswered prayer means God doesn't care. IT IS WRITTEN that ALL things work together for good for those who love God, and I am CALLED according to His purpose. God's delay is not denial, and His timing is not rejection. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus delayed going to Lazarus BECAUSE He loved him, setting up greater glory. Whether my healing comes today or in eternity, I am BELOVED NOW, righteous NOW, complete NOW. I carry the BARAK blessing—God's favor rests on me regardless of my body. I am not forgotten. I am not ignored. I am TREASURED.

But God actually:

The Father's love isn't proven by instant healing—it's proven by the CROSS. Like He loved Lazarus enough to delay and bring greater glory, He loves you enough to be trusted in the waiting.
