"God can't bless me financially while I'm drowning in debt—I'm disqualified by my poor choices."
How it sounds in your head: I made bad decisions and now I'm trapped. God blesses people who are good stewards, and I clearly wasn't. I have to fix this mess before He can move in my finances.
"Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us...that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus."
-- Galatians 3:13-14Religion: The false teaching that God's blessing is earned by good stewardship rather than given by covenant grace.
Decades of church teaching have conditioned her to believe blessing follows obedience, and her debt feels like proof of disobedience. Financial lack appears to be divine disapproval manifest.
Abraham LIED to Pharaoh, saying Sarah was his sister to save his own skin—pure cowardice and deception. Instead of punishment, God PLAGUED Pharaoh, and Abraham left Egypt with gold, silver, and livestock—RICHER for his lie.
I REFUSE the lie that debt disqualifies me from blessing. IT IS WRITTEN that Christ redeemed me from the CURSE so I could receive the BLESSING of Abraham (Galatians 3:13-14). The BARAK protected Abraham when he LIED—twice!—and he left richer both times. My blessing is not based on my stewardship but on Jesus' BLOOD. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed coming in and going out, the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath (Deuteronomy 28:6,13). I declare the blessing of Abraham ACTIVE over my finances NOW, regardless of my past choices. I am HEIR according to promise.
Your Father isn't waiting for you to balance your budget before He blesses you—He's the God who made a deceiver named Jacob into a prince and protected murderers with His favor. Your mess doesn't pause His blessing.
