"God called me to this ministry, so quitting would be disobeying Him and abandoning His call."
How it sounds in your head: You heard His voice clearly decades ago. Leaving now would make you a deserter, a quitter, a Jonah running from God. What would you tell people? That you failed? That God's call has an expiration date? You're trapped.
"To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven."
-- Ecclesiastes 3:1Religion taught that God's call is a prison sentence with no parole, not a relationship with seasons and grace.
You've built your entire identity on 'God called me to this.' Admitting the season might be over feels like admitting you misheard God or that you're giving up on something sacred.
Paul tried to preach in Asia and Bithynia, but the Holy Spirit FORBADE him—stopping him from ministry. Then God redirected him to Macedonia through a vision, and he immediately pivoted to the new assignment without guilt.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm trapped in a call that's become a cage. IT IS WRITTEN that there's a season for every purpose, and God is not a slave master but a Father who gives different assignments. I am not Jonah running FROM God; I'm listening FOR God's next word. IT IS WRITTEN that even Paul was STOPPED from certain ministry and redirected without condemnation. I declare the BARAK blessing over transitions—blessed going OUT of one season and blessed going IN to the next. My Father hasn't chained me to a post; He's inviting me to dance through seasons with Him.
The Father is saying, 'I'm not angry that you're tired. I'm not disappointed you need a change. I gave you that assignment for a season, and now I'm calling you to something new—or maybe just to rest in My arms for a while.'
