"God blessed 'those people' more than people like me. He has favorites based on background."
How it sounds in your head: You've watched it your whole life—certain groups seem to have easier paths, doors that open for them, generational wealth, systems that work in their favor. And you've wondered if God plays favorites too, if the blessing flows more freely to some bloodlines, some skin tones, some zip codes than others.
"Then Peter opened his mouth and said: 'In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him.'"
-- Acts 10:34-35Enemy twisting earthly injustice into theological lie about God's character, making Him complicit in partiality He actually hates.
The statistical and experiential evidence of inequality is overwhelming after ninety years. Concluding God sanctions it feels like the only way to reconcile theology with reality.
Cornelius was a Gentile, ethnically excluded from God's covenant people for 2,000 years. Peter still had the prejudice; God didn't. The Holy Spirit fell on Cornelius' household IMMEDIATELY, same gift, same power, no second-class reception—shattering Peter's false hierarchy.
I REFUSE the lie that God has favorites. IT IS WRITTEN that God shows NO PARTIALITY—He doesn't prefer one race, class, or background over another. In every nation, whoever comes to Him is accepted EQUALLY. The inequality I've witnessed is human sin, not God's design. IT IS WRITTEN that in Christ there is NO distinction—same access to the Father for all. The BARAK blessing flows by covenant, not by culture or color. I am loved with the SAME love the Father has for Jesus Himself, no hierarchy, no favorites, no second-class citizens in His kingdom.
The Father is heartbroken over the favoritism and partiality humans created. He shows ZERO partiality—running at the same speed toward every prodigal, preparing the same robe, the same ring, the same party. The feast for you is exactly as extravagant as for anyone else covered by the blood.
